Every form of gold costs something above the spot price. Coins cost more because they are minted, designed and struck by a government. Bars skip most of that, which is why a bar puts more gold in your hands for the same money than a coin does.
The bigger the bar, the lower the premium per ounce. A kilo bar is the most efficient way to buy gold by weight that we sell. A ten-ounce bar sits in the middle. A one-ounce bar is close to coin territory but still typically cheaper than an Eagle.
The trade-off is divisibility. You cannot sell half a kilo bar β you sell the bar. Buyers who expect to liquidate in pieces are usually better served by one-ounce bars or coins, and I'll say so rather than steer you to the bigger ticket.
Every bar I sell comes from a recognized refiner, is hallmarked with weight and purity, and comes in its assay packaging where applicable. Serving Minneapolis, St. Paul, St. Louis Park, Edina, Plymouth, Eagan and the metro. Call (612) 802-9686 for today's price.
